7 September 2026

Week 1 saw some fantastic results from Run Norwich, and there were a few cheeky parkrunners fitting in a second score to bump them up the table early on.

What a week 1! We've had an awesome amount of interest in the hexathlon running competition and lots of people sign up to the app. So thankyou. Lots of points were bagged at Run Norwich 10k and a few people managed to gain some additional points by fitting in a parkrun too the day before - those keen beans!

Lets take a look at the top 5.

1st - Jan Kasier (V50) - 1442pts from 2 performances

Jan (City of Norwich AC) managed to score two 80% + age grade scores on the same weekend - phenomenal running! His Run Norwich 10k 36mins 40s (83.3%) scored him 833 points and unlocked a Gold standard, missing out on the elite standard (84%) by a whisker. The day before he ran Brundall Parkrun in 18mins 03s (81.2%) scored 609 points.

2nd - Neil Adams (V45) - 1350pts from 2 performances

Neil (North Norfolk Beach Runners) also fit in two runs at the weekend, 33mins 50s (88.6%) at Run Norwich and gaining a whopping 886pts, achieving the elite standard for the 10k for his age! Truly inspiring. He also managed a jaunt round Blickling parkrun to lift his score.

3rd - David Crotch (V60) - 1255pts from 2 performances

David (Norwich Road Runners) unlocked the silver standard for 10k with his Run Norwich performance - 45mins 43s (72.2%). He also took a trip down to London Saturday morning to run the Highbury fields parkrun.

4th - Billy Wheeler (V50) - 1240pts from 2 performances

Billy (Wymondham AC, Norwich Distance Squad) was another to unlock the silver standard for 10k with 40mins 38s (75.2%) on the streets of Norwich. Just 0.8% off the gold standard, which will no doubt come on a less undulating course. Billy also bagged 488pts round Eaton park Saturday morning.

5th - George Gay (Senior Man) - 1155pts from 2 performances

Week 2 will see many Norfolk locals taking part in the fantastic Round Norfolk Relay event. For some though a trip up to Newcastle may be on the cards to take part in the Great North Run, whilst there are also some mid-week opportunities to race around Battersea park over 5km.

A reminder of the rules

Run as many races or parkruns as you would like in the series (1st Sep - 20th Dec), we will score all of them, and your best 6 results will count. Everyone gets one Boost chip per series and can be played to double your score for all the race results you get the following week. So time that boost well to peak at the right time, or maybe double race. If you don't use it before the end of the series you will lose it.
