1. About these terms

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Rosterbox Limited (company no. 09776167), registered in England and Wales (“Hexathlon”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the Hexathlon app and website. By creating an account or using Hexathlon, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Hexathlon.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Hexathlon. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may sign in using email/password or a supported provider (Google, Apple, Facebook). Tell us promptly at support@hexathlon.run if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. What Hexathlon is

Hexathlon is a gamified, year-long road-running competition that scores age-graded results across qualifying race distances. Competition rules, scoring and standards are described in-app and on our Rules page and may be updated over time.

5. Race results and scoring

• You may link external profiles (e.g. parkrun) and submit or have race results matched to your account.
• You must only submit results that are genuinely yours and accurate.
• Scoring, age-grading, results matching, and eligibility decisions are made at our reasonable discretion. We aim for accuracy but do not guarantee that every result or score is error-free, and we may correct, re-score, or remove results and adjust standings to maintain fairness.
• We may suspend or disqualify entries we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, mismatched, or in breach of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: provide false information; impersonate others; submit results that are not yours; attempt to manipulate scoring or leaderboards; disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service; or use Hexathlon unlawfully.

7. Health and safety disclaimer

Hexathlon involves physical activity and running. You participate entirely at your own risk. Hexathlon is not a medical or fitness advisor. You are responsible for ensuring you are fit to train and race, and should consult a qualified medical professional before starting or continuing any exercise programme. We are not liable for any injury, illness, or loss arising from your participation in running or races tracked through Hexathlon.

8. Third-party data and services

Hexathlon links to and relies on third-party services (e.g. parkrun results, authentication providers). We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

9. Intellectual property

Hexathlon, its branding, content, and software are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, or exploit any part of the service without our permission.

10. Your content

You retain ownership of information you submit. You grant us a licence to store, process, and display it as needed to operate the service (e.g. showing your results and standings to other users, as described in our Privacy Policy).

11. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Hexathlon, and may change competition rules, scoring, or these terms. Where changes are material we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Termination

You may stop using Hexathlon and delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or use the service unlawfully.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hexathlon is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or losses arising from inaccurate results or scoring. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence). Hexathlon is a free recreational competition platform.

14. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
