It's that time of year again! On Sunday morning runners from across the East of England will be heading to Norfolk's fine city to tackle the challenging Norwich 10k. Recent years have seen the race sell out in mere minutes, so we have decided to take a look at the top ranked runners set to toe the line. Some serious points could well be on offer to get a good start on the hexathlon leaderboard. To take part and have your Run Norwich result score, download the app before midnight on Sept 5th.
Top Age Graders
1. Ellie Grubb V40 - 87.6% avg Age Grade

Ellie, a member of CoNAC and James Senior's Norwich Distance Squad, has continued her mega form from 2025 into 2026 running a personal best of 27:48 over 5miles in Great Yarmouth in April. She has podiumed at Run Norwich in previous years, can she make the top 3 again in 2026?
2. Gary Crush V45 - 87.6% avg Age Grade
Gary has raced mostly on the track in 2026, so far clocking some impressive times in the 1500m and 3000m. A few 5k outings this year have seen him caressing the 16min barrier. Coached by Jane Clark.
3. Neil Adams V45 - 86.9% avg Age Grade

Neil took the win at Breckland 10k earlier in the year recording a PB of 32:44. A stalwart of the Norfolk running community, Neil placed 14th overall last year at Run Norwich and was first vet home in a very respectable 34:30 on the challenging course.
4. Todd Lake V60 - 86.6% avg Age Grade
5. Catherine Henery V60 - 84.9% avg Age Grade
6. Adrien Mussett - V50
Special mention must also go to Adrian Mussett - at 54 years the Colchester Harrier, who has graced the streets of Norwich many times in years gone by, has ran 32:45 this year, and incredible feat! Hopefully he runs again this year, and if so, will no doubt be towards the front of the field.
Top Men

Logan Smith was absent last year but returns in 2026 in fine form, the 2:15 marathoner will surely be in contention for what would be his 4th Run Norwich victory. He is challenged by last year's winner Marshall Smith and course record holder Jonathan Escalante-Phillips. Norwich Road Runner Martyn Bath has been taking many race wins across Norfolk in 2026 and following a 2:26 marathon in London, despite nursing a recent foot injury, will surely be a strong top 10 contender. Another name worth mentioning is Michael Clark, the young City of Norwich athlete has competed for Great Britain at the world juniors in Oregon over 5000m this summer, and if he runs, will no doubt be in contention at the front. Other local contenders include James Senior, Danny Adams and Harry Alcock.
Top Women

Holly Archer ran a 2:33 at the London marathon in April and won the Valentines 10k in Norfolk back in February, she will be pushed all the way no doubt by Framlingham Flyer athlete Daisy Glover who boasts a 33:19 10k this year. Ellie Grubb and Grace Buchanan are expected to also be close to the front.
